About Me
Alison Franklin, LCSW was an English major at Northwestern University and earned a Master’s in Social Work at NYU where she also completed advanced clinical training.
As an integrative therapist, Alison is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), blending these evidence-based practices with insight-oriented therapy.
In 2018, Alison entered the emerging field of psychedelic therapy and completed trainings at Fluence and Synthesis Institute. A core principle in this work is the concept of Inner Healing Intelligence: just as the body knows how to heal a wound, the human psyche has an intrinsic drive toward healing and wholeness. This is foundational to Alison’s approach.
Alison is a lifelong learner and seeker, grounded in the belief that mental and physical health are deeply interconnected. Movement, cold plunges, and gratitude are a daily practice, but she also believes that, sometimes, eating a cookie from Levain Bakery and watching The Housewives is a loving act!
